Omni-Sig Pig Signaler provides foolproof pig detection

TD Williamson patented the first pig sig in the early '80s. Other manufacturers patented similar pig signalers shortly thereafter. Most of the early pig sigs and pig signallers incorporated either Uni-Directional or Bi-directional triggers. Many were improperly installed and failed immediately or failed after a few pig runs due to either pipeline product or debris plugging the trigger or mechanical linkage between the trigger and the flag. In so many hazardous pipeline applications, it is critical to know the whereabouts of all cleaning pigs or intelligent pigs. Therefore it is critical to use a foolproof Omni-Sig for pig signaling.

Logical Pipeline Solutions is happy to offer the Omni-Sig, the industry's first pig signaler with a low torque, Omni-directional trigger with Magnetic Circuit for foolproof pig detection, no matter what type of pig or sphere you are running. This includes detection and signalling of low density Polly Pigs being run in natural gas applications. Plunger or button style pig signallers have difficulty detecting and signalling polly pigs run in natural gas, but not the Omni-Sig. Some of the other features and benefits of our Omni-Sig pig signaler include:
  • Maintenance free
  • Easy to install
  • Suitable for 2" and larger diameter pipelines
  • Pressure ranges up to ANSI 2500
  • Conformity to NACE-MR-01-75 / ISO 15156
  • Stainless steel internal and wetted parts
  • Welding boss and flanges manufactured from ASTM A105 / A350-LF2 or A316 as standard (other materials available upon request)
  • Seals from Nitrile / Viton / PTFE
  • Can be retrofitted to existing welded connections to replace worn or defective pig sigs
  • Valve models available for removing pig sigs while under full line pressure

Omni-Sig pig signaler options include highly visible mechanical flag, electrical switch or combination of flag and switch. Options for pipeline mounting include welding boss or flange mounted. Valve models can be added to both mounting types for pig signaller removal while under full line pressure.

The above features, benefits and materials of construction are based on the standard product range. Should you require different materials of construction or have any questions regarding our products, please don't hesitate to contact us.
